The Ranch

Post by iggys-amsoil »

Well I unexpectedly ended up there because it was just to windly at Glen Helen. A good thing too. With getting over flu like symtems, again :x , the moto track at the ranch proved it was not going to be a fun day had I stayed at GH.

So the boys and a 650 rider across the street and I took the trail ride way back into the creek . Now single track is not my forte' but I'm very glad I did it and it was a change that I needed. Only a 15-18 mile loop but when I got back it was like I just finished a moto. When we left the creek it was none stop back except for opening and closing a cattle gate. I did my best to keep up with the youngsters but keeping in mind not to ride over my head and ending up crashing because of it.

I'm actually suprised how much single track there is there cause the sat pics don't really show it. A lot of steep sandy down hills going in and I'm wondering how were gone get back out til I saw a bunch of other easier ways.

Oh and another great day out there, maybe 70, no wind, and especailly sitting on the couch in the garage afterwords taking in all the scenery.

Thanks Jas............

No pics sorry.

Other than the extremely valid reasons mentioned above, you know your welcome! Even built a tabletop for ya Brit, we got Iggy clearing it, as well as the fatty double! Igg- here's a couple shots from Sunday, too bad you couldn't stay. These are the first pics of any track riding I've taken.

Not Iggy pictured, but we got Iggro clearing this 60ft. table. (Sequenced)

I know what ya mean here lately Bobber, we're feeling it at all corners! I think I have like 10 fuel jugs with just a little fuel left in each of them if that'll help ya out at all???haha :D Probably save ya about $20 bucks.hehe! You would love the ride Iggy is talking about though, gets you way upstream from us, lot's of goat trailing through that area though. Those 5 hundos just bark ya up anywhere!

Possibly Memorial weekend or Easter? and the Steiner clan scheduling. Vet X depending, even that may not matter since I may not make all the races for the Spring series. :x

That powerline/creek run def needs to be done again. I had way to much tunnel vision focusing on that 6"wide strip and not looking down.

Checking G-Earth, looks like we were passed the Hot Springs.

The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...
