I run the same setup on my 1/8 drag bike and it will blow the doors off of just about anything.If you need proof come to Jawbone cyn .anytime bring your best attitude and I'll show up all 73 years of me and we can have some fun. With my 44 mm carb. & stock air manifold. Chris I told you If you have a problem with me or anything I do call me or come out we can settle things like gentelmen.I know I can make you happy.But your going to have to stop reading field & stream ,And listening to every tom dick & hairy about your problems. As you probably know by now I rarely listen to ANYTHING ANYONE sais (wife included).
You have helped me a ton over the last year and yes I have an issue but im fixing it myself on the cheap.
Life has took a great shit from a great height on me lately and in all honesty im broke as a joke and cant afford shipping/machining etc. Im gonna slap a stock head on the bike and run it. Everyone makes mistakes and its not like it left me stranded or ruined any trips, the bike runs like a raped ape when the head is sealed.
If I had an issue with you believe me I would have called you and if not happy made a BIG deal about it, go back to the piston thread and see how many time I mentioned your name or slammed you.....

And, LUNATIC you ask me if it would work I showed you a setup I have ran for years it works very well there is no obstructions in the stock manifold I didn't get very good pics. but take my words if you want you must think I know a little or you wouldn't have called me to start with.Now I showed you a pic. of 1 that works .Thank you for asking !! Now if you don't like that setup I can build you a alum. mainfold for around $75.00 to fit with different hoses from 44mm up to 50mm .It will take about a week to jig up to make one but I will be happy . to do it for you if you don't like the stocker setup,but it will work great if you won't to try it first. What you should have done when you put it togeather the 1st time was used a piece of soldier in the spark plug hole rotated the engine back and forth then taken the soldier out and mesured it for piston clearence. I thought you knew about doing that when you have a head milled on a race engine .I'm sorry I didn't tell you about doing that ,But I just assummed that you knew to do that.And that you would do it before putting everything down tite. In the future if we are still doing business togeather (I HOPE) I will try to explain any tech. details beforehand. I will still tell you One more time we only mill and face cylinder heads we only polish the squish and quinch areas unless the customer ask for a modified squish&quinch I don't know how or where or what happened to your head the last time I worked on it it was 12 thousands warped I took 15 thousands off to make it flat but even if some one or the thing came that way it shoudn't have touched the piston.unless the holes for the head studs were off or the factory made a clearence ,The factory mesures the squish by the amount of CCs and it is cast in on the specs. for the castings. The mesurment for stock is taken at the crown not the outside sealing area because they go by CCs if you were to check a stocker at th crown it would be around 150 thousands or better clearence. Any way as I have told you before if your a little short we can always make some arangements money wise.Glen

Looks good glen do you have any suggestions on gas jetting and what do i need to do to run on methanol? I have a few power jets laying around.
Would drilling the dump tube to about .120" get me close?
Oh and do you think having it bored out to a 45.5-48mm would run any better?

There use to be a guy at dirt bike mag. that they called MR. Know it all I think he has been reincarnated. The only thing is he rode a MAICO and not a honda as our new Mr. Know it all rides or say's he rides Which at that time everbody called them MAICO BREAK-O .I remember he came to the old WIDOW MAKER HILL CLIMB He wore a tuxedo.He had a top hat and he got in line to climb the hill the rules plainly state you must wear a helmet, gloves,eye protection.some form of body armor.Boots. and a dead man kill switch. He stated he was Mr. Know It All And he was above all of that. and he didn't need any of those safety riding gear.Because he only wore his tuxedo,top hat,patitent leather shoes.white cotton gloves. So for one run the let him sign a waiver exempting the club from all responsibility.He lined up on the starting line ,He got about 60 feet on the hill and took one of the worst falls I have ever seen.I don't know how many bones in his body he broke THE bike after digging the handle bars in the dirt the throttle was stuck wide open ,the engine re-lite. And down the hill it came faster than it went up and almost hitting a little girl of 6 or 7 years old ,Moral of story is The smarter you think you are there is always some one out there that can match brains word for word .the dumber you really are.It didn't make any difference.he had to show everybody that he was the smartest on the block and it didn't make a bit of difference who or what his knowledge level was far superior to any one elses And he has to put his knowledge in on any and every subject,personally I like it because I don't meet to many 200 year old people, . So to sum this bunch of nothing up. I just wanted to wish him happy 200th year birthday cause nobody could have that much wisdom and not be at least 200 years old.

Its in a stock 87 cr frame so angled. Upp makes intakes for cp industries cheetah dm cylinders (cr500pattern) so maybe they would make a few for us bike guys? Why 3 power jets? Dave moore makes power jets that will flow as much out of one and less air restriction. Oh and what air filter set up will i need?

you dont need 3 jets, that photo was just a example of a similiar carb. probly will need 2 jets depending on your set up, but maybe 1 will get the job done for ya. i believe most shops get their lectrons from packard, so i would cut out the middle man and just call him directly and he will set you straight with what you need, or maybe you have somebody closer to you thats knowledgable on this subject. you wont have many options on the air filter depending what size carb you have......if its a big lectron you probly have to use a tube style k&n with outerwear

Called packard and he said the 48 lectron on a rino or ds650 is the same carb we 2 stroke guys use just a different needle. They are straight bored and he recommended a 48hv with dual power jets for $385. He also said UPP makes a intake for the 48 carbs.
Also he said 95hp with his porting and pipe and he wanted $350 to port the cylinder but wants the whole motor to just port the cylinder? Very cool guy to talk to and he sounds like he knows his $hit.
