Bearing Question

Still havn't got those screws off for those retainers,I did discover that my cordless drill doubles as a Impacter but still no go,should I try heating the bearing with a torch to heat the area around those screws then go at it with the impacter?

Id bake the case half in the oven at around 250 degrees for a couple hours. Then us an Impact Driver, NOT an impact gun. 2 totally different animals!

I never use an oven or torch, always in water, very even heat

harbor freight, ace, home depot just about any hardware store will have them.

ya there sure as hell ain't no home depot or harbor freight here but I could always order one online the same way I do everything else,I'm not really rushing to get my engine together anyways I guess,TT has my bushings and bolt right now so I can't get any welding done until they come back and then I still got 6 months to go before I can ride anyways,I realized I'm missing one washer for my tranny as well and still ordering other odds and end for my engine,everytime I order I think of something else afterwards and I'm still trying to decide where to send my jug to get resleeved.Thanks for all the advice guys

I would not rely solely on Loctite with loose bearings. All you have to do is swedge them. Remember heat and oil trash Loctite...

You might want to start reading through a thread before posting...

I tried that loctite green stuff on a worn wheel hub and it worked for about 3 rides and now its just like it was never there.
