Crankcase reassembly

Post by Mad Dog »

What's the best way to reassemble a crankcase?
Dry paper gasket, Yamabond with no gasket, Yamabond on one or both sides of paper gasket?
Other?

Advice given to me (by what I'd consider a reputable source) was assemble it dry using an OEM gasket (no substitutes) with the exception of of a bit of yamabond on the thin wall between the crank and the tranny.
