Sunday ride at the SAC with pictures >>>

Post by TYSTYX »

This is one of my riding areas on the edge of town we call SAC. It stands for
Socorro Athletic Commision and is out behind a stadium built for use by a few
schools that dont have football stadiums. The area is one of my favorite places
to ride because it offers big hills, valleys, alot of river washes ranging from
2 ft wide to over 30 feet wide coming
down from the hills . There are also
hundreds of sandy trails all over the place. Some of the trails that are closer
to the actual stadium have kick ass 180 degree huge hard-packed banked turns....
as you exit one turn you immediatly have to transition into the next one. Fun stuff.
My son really loves those because his little bike handle them with ease,
but on a big steely they can be a little demanding. There are also some huge sandhills close to the stadium
where we park, but all the faggot quad riders hang out there and they really dont hit
the back area's like we do. Those fuckers piss me off because they are always riding
around fast with kids on the back......and none of them wear helmets, or any gear
for that matter. Dont they fear for their kids safety???? WTF ?? Anyway, back to our
ride today. It is beautiful out there because its been raining alot over the past few
months and the desert is just blooming with flowers and wildlife. We are always scairing
up rabbits, desert mice, dove and quail, and the occasional hawk that might be on the
ground. We usually ride for about 3 or 4 hours until we are just beat. I know my son
must be exuasted after these rides, but he never admits it. Today we happened to find a
Jeep out in the middle of nowhere. Not sure what happened to it. The rear tire was flat
and the front passenger hub had broken off the axle. Probably some drunk fools out
four-wheeling at night and fell off the embankment. It looked like it had just happened
within the past day or two. Alot of times we get off the trails and just free ride all
over the place, so I snapped a few pics of my son on his CR85 ( 1996 CR80 with a 2003
CR85 motor in it ) during one of our stops, and also some pics of the Jeep. Just for the
record, my son is 12 and just made his schools 7th grade football team. He plays defense
first string.....strong-side linebacker. He kicked ass in his first scrimmage.

Here's another pic of my son. This was taken a few miles past our dune riding area locally dubbed Red Sands.

the first pics are from one riding area right on the
edge of EL Paso............the last pic was taken about
6 months ago out near our dune riding area, Red Sands,
which is about 12 miles past the El Paso city limits. Thats
why I had posted a seperate comment above the last pic

My wifes cousin has been wanting us to come out to visit in El Paso - he was living off base at Fort Bliss and they got some new house nearby. I told him, next time out, I'll load the 500 on the back of the Excursion...Looks good out there!
The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...

TYSTYX you remind me of my Dad when I was growing up...or shit even now. All your pictures are of your boy. It probably never crosses your mind to get yourself in the shot. I bet your son is awfully glad to have a Father like you

I'm just too lazy to put the camera in a suitable location, set the timer and run over to get in the shot.
