Old Timer
Old Timer
Just who the hell is " Oldtimer"?
He said some nice things about our site.....
"My 125/500 project is in pieces, so technically I don't have a "rideable" machine. So.....I was escorted over to the Banned site.
I found people there that get more in depth into the nuts-n-bolts details of issues. For some reason people(@Traces site) give advice to questions that they don't understand, and the thread goes nowhere (or gets twisted into a different subject).
I've asked about really technical issues on the Banned site, and get straight-up advice in return. I now know where the real professionals are. Professionalism with a mixture of attitude, but real pros...no doubt."
Just want to thank the right Hoon....

Mike already beat you to the punch. He called me a few days ago and offered a whole case, so I have some of his left over to pass around.
I'm not sure where to start, except for the fact that it's an honor to have a thread started in my name.
I've been here off/on for a while and just never seemed to get the time to post an intro. So now, is as good a time as any, but....to make it easier I hope it's ok to link my intro from where my trouble started, all out of being honest:
http://cr500riders.com/cgi/yabb/YaBB.pl ... 332416/0#0
After my intro there, I was banned from the riders site w/o an explination. When I read the rules list, I realized why. My machine wasn't "rideable".
My reply to kkvslayer's (I've seen him here also) thread really got me in trouble, again all from being honest. Who is AP??? I didn't care for his excessive use in those gay smiley faces (I used them to spite his):
http://cr500riders.com/cgi/yabb/YaBB.pl ... 13980492/0
Seems that the rules were changed over there after all of this took place. As of June the 21st, rule #1 was modified. OOPS...it looks like JP is a v.p. or something....I didn't realize that at the time. Oh well.
It used to end with "having a rideable, running CR500 sitting in your garage.":
http://cr500riders.com/cgi/yabb/YaBB.pl ... 956833/0#0
So that's my intro.
Sorry for the confusion, but I just don't use the same user name.
I abandoned my old home over at the Camaro forum for a bunch of cry baby loosers, what would my old friends think of me. Hell, it was all worth it, 'cause it lead me to this place. The Camaro dudes would love it here...they would now approve.
I rode up to some young kids a while back, that were hanging around their dirt bikes. when I took my helmet off, one said "Hey....you're an old guy". So at the 500 forum I picked Old Timer as my user name....I'm 42.
I used to go past the middle school on my way home from high school. The kids would wait for me, they must have had spies watching. When I was riding by a whole mob of little kids would run out yelling "WHEELIE!! WHEELIE!! WHEELIE!!". One day I busted one off and things were never the same....Word got around and everyone in school knew who I was.
I was known as Wheelie Gene. So, that's what I picked for this place.
It's good to finally say hello, and be less of a stranger.
Thanks Bob for the warm welcome....and to Mike for the case of beer.

After I was jousted, I finally read the rules. I then realized it was a 500 rider forum, plain and simple.....you HAD to have a 500 in running condition....period. It's a good rule to keep out the non-500 owners, that is if people are honest. Liars and posers are only kidding themselves. Mine was in pieces, so, I didn't give any flack nor did I nit-pick the rules and try to stay in where I wasn't welcome.
Somehow the thread generated a lot of stink and shit was thrown in the wrong faces, so asses were kissed and the main rule was changed. So much for having pride and integrity.
Now they (he) say (says) that that rule was made up to keep out the jet ski-ers and the 10 year olds. I still can't believe where some of the threads end up....they need a rule to keep out the dumb asses. Apparently some of the dunmb-asses are kiss-asses, and that makes it ok.
What if my jet ski had a 500 for power, would that be ok?

The important part is you found us and you feel comfortable....
We have a few members without 500's... Shan man as an example.... someone with tons of 500 experience... and currently "between" bikes.
And then we have members like Steiner.... who dosent currently own a 500, but is a true Hoon at heart.
Its all good , round' here.....

Yep....
If I unloaded a clip, I'd be hitting Harleys and ricer cruisers.
Wish there were at least some MX/dual sporters here locally.
Sucks being the Lone Ranger.... though I'd fit into a big crowd if I had a jacked up 4X4.
Would be cool to hook up w/a fellow member.

LOL, yup, no more 500s for me, yet I am still a contributing hoon on the other site... MFDB too I don't think anyone cares as I don't post much and when I do I'm usually trying to be helpful. Although now that it has been brought to light...
