My buddy's 2006 gets 29 mpg freeway all the time. City is something like 15.
Aerodynamics and tall gearing =

The gains could have been from extra boost creaded by less restriction. 1lb of boost is roughly 25hp extra, couple that with a "forgiving" dyno and you have your 50 hp.redridermv wrote:They claim that "Shelby Ford Mustang GT 500 Gains 53.71 HP with K&N Air Intake System".
Could this be true? 50+ friggin hp with a new airbox

yeah, I really need to get and air intake for my truck because all the baffle crap they put on is very restrictive. I plan on getting one with the insulator so it doesn't suck it hot engine compartment air.
yeah, on my starion I have a 6"long 4" wide pipe with a huge freaken K&N cone filter on it, and the turbo sound that came out of it was killer!
I've been waiting for this. I'm surprised it took so long for you to put it up.AlisoBob wrote:Same $$$ will get you a Z06.... To me their is no comparison. The Mustang is a Mustang... with a blower. The Z06 is bumper to bumper performance. 2009 is supposed to offer 600 hp.
