Br8eix, (Iridium)
the es plug has standard electrode, the eg has the smaller fine wire electrode (fouls less easily)
r=resistor

fixed.

Me, I like the inexpensive ones. Who cares about the .001 extra horsepower an iridium plug might make _IF_ you have your bike tuned in the first place.

Please tell me we're not going to start talking about which chain/lube combination / bearings / transmission oil provide the best horsepower.

Tune the carb, set the suspension, keep her maintained, and ride the piss out of her. :wink:

Ebay? You can't pick those up at your local auto parts store? I never have a problem walking and picking up 4 or 8 BR8EG's.

Murrays or Advance Auto will have 'em, too. Sometimes the parts counter person has to spend some quality time cross referencing numbers, but it's not too difficult.

I have a B8ES in mine, because it's cheap, and I haven't had any fouling issues yet either. I'm sure the jetting isn't perfect, but if it runs, doesn't foul plugs, and makes power, why mess with it? :D

My bike runs just fine with an BR8ES.
They don't stock the EG at my local supplier.
How long (typically) should a plug last if the motor is tuned (Jetted) correctly?
I've not had to change one yet and I've had the bike for around a year now.

I typically toss a plug in once a year, just because. I give my old ones to Brit, and runs them for another.

Good running 500's dont foul plugs.

My 250 and 500 both run a br8es. I buy them for $20 a box of 10 @ Kragen. Never had a problem, and @ $2 a plug, I change them when I change my oil, every other ride, tops every 3rd ride.
