4th of July Family Ride

Post by sabreguy »

Even though I have two bikes down right now the boys and I found time this morning to get out and ride!!!!:woot:
I was on a Honda ATC 185 my oldest was on his YZ250 (that needs to be jetted badly) and my youngest was on my wifes Honda Recon. With these three wickedly fast and awesome machines we decided to go and tear it up around the hills just to the east of my house. The boys made me take the lead so I decided that even though I was on a 3 wheeler I was going to do my best to make them work to keep up. Found out they had absolutely no prob doing that! :ride: The ATC was tossing me around like a rag doll seeing as it as no suspension. Every bump tossed me the opposite direction I wanted to go. I had a blast riding that old 3 wheeler slinging it around in the corners and all.:woot: We rode for about 2- 1/2 hours by about half way through the ride temps were starting to hit 105 or so. My oldest was starting to get wore out so the last 1/2 hour or so he jumped on the couch I took his bike and the youngest was on the ATC. Somewhere on the ride back the shift lever broke off of the ATC and my boy didn't even notice until about two blocks from the house. Talk about paying attention!!!:miss:
My youngest had the helmet cam so we have some video I will post as soon as he gets it finished.

Did I mention I had a BLAST!!!!!!!!!! :woot:

Yea bro I will take it from ya. I have no plans right now to tear it down but I am sure it could use some work someday.

How much do you want for it?

Oh and thanks guys!
It had been awhile since me and the boys had been out on a ride together.
Matt should be working on the vid today so hopefully he will have it done so I can post it.

sounds like good times. My boy is still too small to ride around by himself, but he likes to ride on my lap on the atc 90 and he even takes over the throttle and steering while laying on the tank. He will be a true hoon soon enough!

Amazingly the sticker says $7.95 I'll just give it to ya.

I could mail it to ya but since its not needed right away I'll bring it for the Dove Springs trip.

He picked all the footage, titles and music. So let him know what you think.

There should be another one coming in a day or so.

How'd you boys like the 2-fiddy after we goofed around on it? Is it still running ok? I would imagine its ultra fat from the heat.

The CR250 is in the middle of getting the forks rebuilt (I am hoping to finish this week) Matt finally rode it a few weeks back and he came back with a HUGE grin on his face!!!! He can't wait to get back on it now.
Thanks again Rob for all your help.
