Help with lacing new wheel!

Post by hondahillclimber »

hey, iam lacing up a new rear wheel on my 2000 cr500 and i noticed that half the spokes are shorter then the other half. i now know that this is to offset the hub a little bit to one side but could you tell me what side the shorter spokes go to? and what side the longer spokes go to? as in the sproket side or disc side? thanks

I would guess that the offset is to the left to make space for the disk brake therefore the shorter spokes would go on the left-hand side (looking forwards)...
