What I've been up to

Post by Joshwfl »

As most of you know, I sold the motor out of my bike and my other toys to put with the rest of the down payment money for the new house. Now that I have 3 months off (school teacher) I made a deal with my wife. I have been buying cheap bikes and such on Craigslist and repairing/tuning then selling for a profit. We split the profit, half to my CR fund, half to the checking account. Here's what I've done so far:

Paid $100 for this:

Paid $80 for used plastic, $9 for a banjo bolt, and now I have $189 into this, runs sweet. For sale for $1300

Paid $150, sold for $700

Paid $75, sold for $650

Paid $50, sold for $500

Like the side panels I put on?

There was another quad I recently timed, then sold but I don't have a pic. 84 TRX200 bought for $50, sold for $700. Nothing more needed to any of these than a good carb cleaning, tank and fluid flush and adjusting valves and timing.

That's killer dude! You have alot of drive I can tell. By my rough calculations, you have enough for a nice cr500 already. Sell the quad, and you will have enough for an 01 with mods.

After splitting it, I have about $1500 so far. I figure I might as well keep doing it, as I really do enjoy it as a hobby. Another 6 months and I figure I'll be getting an AF. Might as well hold out for now!
