no airbox???

has anyone thought about removing the airbox and installing a ron woods intake and k&n filter? mine will never see dirt so just wondering if it would be ok?

i did it one one of my machines. i still have all the parts in the garage- ill probly never use them again

edit: my stuff is for a steelie, yours is probly a aluminum conversion.
