PWK 39??

Post by USMC 500 »

Hey everyone.....I have an extra PWK 39 that fell out of my KX500 and into my hands....hahahaha....can anyone give me a base to start with as far as main, pilot, needle, slide?.....I have not run the carb yet but I'd like to get the jetting as close as I can before I install the carb on the CR. I mostly ride at 3000-4000ft elevation and I'm running stock other than FMF pipe and silencer.

if you wanted to try a C series needle (i like them in warmer weather) then go up 2 sizes on the main from what you run with the D (from 172 to 178).... for summer id go with a CGM
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

Chris is right
And I've gone to run a CGJ in the 41 to clean up the mid range decel detonation with a 178 main

The DGN was too lean for me. I'm running a DGL currently.
