So I was checking the Manual and it says I need a tool to hold the damping rod internally to take the forks apart to change fork seals.
Does anyone know an alternative?
Thanks

In the old days with damper rod forks you could usually get them by compressing 'em with the springs in and using an impact gun on the bolt.
The cartridge fork is a similar setup, the base valve simply screws into the cartridge (instead of a bolt into a damper rod) so try that way.
I would suggest trying it with a socket and ratchet/t-bar first before resorting to an impact gun.

I can’t remember if I used 1-1/4” or 1-1/2” pipe to make mine. I just marked 4 tabs and used a cut off wheel. A hacksaw will work also. Pretty easy and cheap, like me!
