Over the summer I plan on building a CR500AF snowbike, and I need a cr500AF first before I can start the whole snowbike project. Before I bought any frames I want to know for sure its the right one. I have read that some people think that they handle better in a steel frame than a AF, so I wanna make sure I like the bike I spend all my summer free time building. I would like your opinion on which frame results in the best dirtbike.

The general consensus seems to be the 05-07 era CRF's are the most preferred, but there are many opinions out there. A lot of guys actually prefer the KTM steel frames for conversions as well.

02-07 cr250's were almost the perfect chassis, getting older now. Hated 250f conversions myself, too small everywhere. Liked the 09-12 crf450 ones we'd done, lots of room, lots of options for parts, but I'd not build another alloy bike after building my last 5 KTM's
