I have the '86 which has turned in to a project. Step dad just bought himself the 2000 but it's over here and more or less in my care.
Hope to share all I can and look forward to learning. Doing crank seals and a bunch of small stuff to be '86 this weekend.
Thanks,

Crank seals, new pipe, fresh silencer, bars, and several small things slated over the next week. In the middle of doing the seals as we speak.Kuma wrote:welcome to the site, what work do you need to do on the '86
Possibly dual source coil mod soon
Once it's running right I'm going to tear it back down and paint the frame and the replacement RH cover. Possibly replace linkage bearings and wheel bearings. Seat cover and decals.
Then maybe look at doing some suspension and brake retro/upgrades while keeping the original looking theme.

86 should have a dual source coil from factory.
