Starting a 2000 cr250/500 conversion suspension question

Post by BusterD814 »

Hey all. I have begun work on a 2000 cr250 frame conversion. Forgive my noobness to cr suspension, this is my first modern jap bike (have KTMs). Anyhow, the front forks seem excessively stiff. Rebound is the top and compression is on the bottom, correct? When you turn the bottom compression adjustment, is it supposed to "click"? Mine does not click, it just turns like an ordinary screw. Is this normal? Thanks again

Just the opposite on the clickers with the twin chambers, compression is on top rebound on the bottom. they should have a bit of a detent, if memory serves it isn't as hard of a click as some but there are definite detent stopping points you should feel as clicks....might be time to tear those suckers apart.
