need some carb tuning advice

just bought a pwk carb for my 94 500, it was preset from JD, threw it on and took it for a little rip, seemed to be a bit laggy on the bottom end but mid range and top end seemed pretty good. what do i adjust to fix this problem, needle clip position ? the blue needle came installed in the carb with the red in a bag.

i did set up an air fuel ratio gauge to air in tuning....figured it works good on turbo sleds why not a cr500.....
