2004 CR500AF for sale $4500 or trade

Post by Hondadug »

I finished this bike about a year ago and I love it, but I'm moving over to the four poke world. Every time I go to the off-road resort I have folks taking pictures of it. I have ridden it a little on the track and mostly on trails in the woods. The bike probably has maybe 20 hours since I built it.

The Y is made from 6061 aluminum. I was a welder and am pretty good, but I found the best welder I know to do the welding. I think the welds are better than factory. That is one of the comments I get from the folks checking it out.

2004 CRF450R frame
1990 CR500 engine - the owner said it was rebuilt just before I bought it, but I forgot to ask for receipts. It's a strong runner though.
Decompression head - makes it so much easier
ProTaper bars
New throttle assembly
New Kehein 39.5 PWK
New Coil
FMF gnarly pipe - small dent - fell over and hit a foot peg
New Pro Circuit forestry service approve spark arrestor/silencer
Warp 9 rear hub
Warp 9 rear wheel
Black and red plastic sets
I increased the size of the brake pedal bolt - the stock one was too small
Boyseen flyweel cover
Flatland aluminum radiator supports/guards
New front/rear brake pads
New rear braided brake line
Tall seat and seat cover
Polished frame
Unbreakable fold back levers
DID gold chain
Factory connection suspension front and rear - but I'm not sure what weight it is set up for - can't read the tag

I change the oil every time I ride. It doesn't take much and easy to do so why not.

Probably forgetting something, but ask any questions.

I also have most of the steelie 500 parts if you want them. Also have the PJ carb.

I would like to trade for a four poke that is 2012 and up. I have cash to throw in for the right bike. I would prefer a KX450F or CRF450R

I keep this bike in the living room. It is just to pretty to put outside :D

Nope,

Sorry, I just moved to the desert and this is a perfect desert/dune bike so I can't sell it now.
