New shifters on older steelies?

Post by kelroy_leon »

Has anyone run a current CRF or newer CR shifter on their '85-'90 CR 500's? I'd like to be able to run a Hammerhead extended or something along those lines? Any info is appreciated.

I've used a crf one I think it was on my 1992, it fits perfect but the pinch bolt is in the wrong spot so I had to tighten it with a box 8mm instead of a socket. Cant remember what one it was though.

Fit like a glove! I used the Hammerhead billet with a +10mm tip.
