Looks impressive. I lost count how many cast/pot alum/metal pieces I tossed b/c of breaking. And we all know you cant weld cast. JB weld, but not weld. Let me know how it works.
The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...

Its been out for several years, I bought 1-2lbs of it but I have never used it

why cant you weld cast aluminium or are you talking about die cast aluminium

If it can be used for chain damaged cases, that would be great.
Or, repairing fins on air cooled cylinders.

Cast aluminum can be welded. We have cracks welded in automotive trans/engine cases quite often.

These were marketed as Robson rods in Australia, and I bought some at an agricultural show years ago. Only thing I've ever used them for is bike radiators, and they work really well. It is only aluminum 'soldering' though, not welding, as there is no melting and fusing of the parent metal. Worth having in the workshop, I reckon.
