If not, does anyone know if the shift splines on our bikes are the same as any others?

I think the 250s fit...
The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...

I think the 650 shifter is longer, and the same spline.

I think other brands share the spline too... Kinda like kickers.

I honestly don't put my foot under there, I catch it with the corner of the sole on my boot. I have a 250 shifter on my bike right now so I know the splines are the same on that. You could buy one of those IMS shifters that are made out of steel and cut/modify as needed.

Thanks for the input, this is for the hyprid quad and the foot pegs are farther forward than on the bike.

The older XL and XR 600's had the same spline too, and steel levers that are easy to mod. (KLX 650 Kawasaki fits too, but they have the weirdest pressed steel lever . . . ) Also CRF 450 is a bit longer than std 500 lever, but a slightly goofy bend . . . .

Bob,
if you're out around your toys, could you possibly do a fit check with the 650 shifter on the 500 engine to see if it clears the case? Going to Glamis weekend of 26th and trying to get things sorted out.
