CR5 AF Supermoto'ed newbie

Post by K-nut »

After a year lurking, about equivalent hours to earn a law degree I reckon (not that I'm a lawyer!) I'm finally introducing myself. Long time rider, street and dirt, an American expat in his youth of old age living in Hong Kong. Got China's first CR5! rebuilt from crank up '86 motor in a '97 CR250 frame with '05 CRF450 plastics, supermoto'ed. (Would of rather had a dirt bike but trails here so ridiculously tight so am fine on those with a Honda CRM250 (two stroke, street legal Japan only model discontinued in '99). Bought most everything off EBay and built up in the course of a year. I could never have done this build without the technical expertise of all those who put detailed posts on here so big shout out to you all! Bike back in pieces (will have another post on that) and will put up a complete pic w/specs soon. Just posted on intro page, new to the sight but been an avid reader for more than a year, building a bike and learning so much from you all.

Eagle eye indeed and well, that'd explain why the '05 CRF plastics fit. duh!

was told suspension was out of an '07 CRF250, can you tell if that's the case!?
