Sleeve or Replate???

Post by freeride588 »

I have a 02 cr250 cylinder with a cracked bridge and screwed up exhaust ports with moderate gouging on the walls. Im thinking because of the exhaust ports I will probably have to sleeve it but I wanted to know what you guys thought. Also where would be a good place to send them and what is a fair price. Thanks in advance guys.

Talk to them and then do some thinkin. Their nik is better than hondas according to Tom Morgan. Welding stuff up is normal for them.

I haven't used them yet but they were highly recommended to me, prices seemed resonable. Welding repairs seem to be the norm.

Another option is to get a 05+ cylinder and head/top end new and swap to that. You would also need an 05+ pipe.

You can maybe send it to Eric Gore for one of his big bore cylinders? It's about 600 bucks and you get porting, head work and top end. I'm going to do it with my 03 if I keep it around.
