GEN 3 CRF450 BUILD

Post by cr500binks »

well im doin it again this time i got a gen3 crf450 i was planning on cutting out the frame rails and replacing the lot because i personally believe adding some alloy pieces isnt the right way of doing things ! but since the standard "Y" piece on a gen3 is simply horrible i was thinking about doing another flat sheet "Y" as i have already done this to my gen4 and i think this is the strongest way ! i will upload some pics tomorrow.

but im currently working away from home so the project has been put on hold for a few weeks so im gonna spend this time gathering info on the gen3.

any info/advice would be good !

right, so ive got a cdi sorted out, new plastics and graphics and she will be all ready. but once again im away from home so the project has been put on hold, again ! one thing thats bothering me is the way the water hose is routed because im using an 80's engine the hose has to go to the back of the cylinder and my kick start touches the hose, its nothing major but its anoying me ! can someone out there who has used an 80's engine show me how they have routed there water hose.
