Post by burt01 »

Hey guys i am new to the site and starting a conversion on a 2005 crf450x. I got the Y cut out and was trying to figure were to place it and fit the radiaters with no luck. Has any one done a 450X conversion who could give me some pointers? i have looked at a few but no one mentions the rads thanks and sweet site

The exhaust port location locates the Y, the Y locates the rads..

The 450X rads are to long and will not work. I use the 06 CRF250X rads on all my CRF conversions. On the 450X I cut all 4 rad mounts off the frame. Bolt them to the 250X rads, put the gas tank and shrouds on bolt the rads to shrouds. Shazam!!! thats where you weld the rad mounts back on the frame....
