I used a Power supply. double the voltage of the battery, and about 30 taps with the positive lead to the positive battery terminal (ground constantly connected).

Did it this morning to an 18V Firestorm battery that hasnt had a charge in over a year, and wouldnt hold a charge over an hour. so far, it still has a seemingly full charge 8 hours later.

2 0-30V outputs @ 3 amps, able to be bridged for 60V @ 3 amps.

set it at double the battery voltage, attached ground, tapped positive terminal.

Hardly cost efficient to buy one of these for this purpose, but if you have access to one......

3 car batteries in series works too. Just don't do anything but tap the terminals or you will be pushing major amps through the battery and could really fuck shit up.

two car batteries in series for 12-15 volt batteries, about 30 taps as well. I actually tapped mine 60 times because of how poor of a state the batteries were in.

What this does is passes high current through the crystals that form inside the battery (and shorts the battery out, hence no charge) and it basically blows the crystals like fuses. Then, the battery works again. Ive heard it works on lead-acid batteries too (like car batteries) but haven't tried it (yet).

After performing this, you can expect the batteries to last just as long as they did as new. And when they die again, re-zap them.

When done, charge battery as normal.


OH. WILL NOT WORK WITH Li-ION BATTERIES. DONT TRY IT, THEY WILL PROBABLY EXPLODE IN YOUR FACE.
