A Day In The Dirt

Post by rpeterson »

Bret and I rode the 70 minute Moto-A-Go Go Team Race in the Extreme Sports class with Ronnie Renner and his brother taking the class, we ended up finishing 6th. Right after we rode the Coup De Grace Survival Race for 90 minutes with 154 other riders. I finished 25th, Bret was 33rd, and 94 riders actually finished the race. Ronnie Renners brother Ricky won it! My goal was 18th and realisticly I was thinking top 30, so I'm stoked on 25th. It's the only mx race we do all year and it's alot of fun with a real laid back atmoshpere.

*Not too bad for a couple of hillclimbers.

Sweet pics. Congratz on placing how you did.

That pic of the start reminds of the start at last years Adelanto GP. I was in row 2 of 300 people starting. Was a little hairy for my 1st ever race.

Ive never seen a photo of Paul with him flashin' a sign!

Last time I saw Micky, his jaw was wired shut, and he had hair!

Time flys I guess.......

 Micky's hair is the same length as it was in 1989 and he is still fast, not much has changed except his lifestyle. I had the opportunity to live at the Dymond Compound for a year back in the day and framed houses with his Dad and Bros. All around just good people.

I got the captions on the photos mixed up... I though the bald guy with the Team Peterson jacket was listed as Micky.

FYI, that bald guy is "The Wind". :bling: He paints Brandon Whitlocks and Jeff Thomas' helmets and happens to be my neighbor. On race day he was my WAY hung over pit man that fell asleep through the 90 min race.

Tony Hawk. :bling: All I need is my own Hillclimb video game now. Check out photo #42 of the Sportster. That guy was BAD ASS! I passed him like 25 times during the hour and half, but he finished and that was a huge accomplishment in itself on that PIG! I don't how he made it through the sand in the bottom section of the track, it was gnarly on my MX bike.

Now your talking. Something like Grand Tourismo with hill climbing, supermoto, motocross, and supercross would rock.
