Ah, the grand pitons... It's a very cool place. I've been a couple times, early 90's I did club med there for the diving, rooms sucked but the diving was awesome. Even at 180 ft it was crystal clear. The locals did NOT like white folk then, went into town for some weed and thought we were gonna get beat. I was there last summer and things have changed, the locals are better because they want our money and there are better hotels and food. I can't remember what hotel I stayed at but in the Caribbean if they say it's 4 or 5 stars I would expect a 2 or 3.

I have not been there but my wife and her mother put on a yoga retreat there every year. They love it! say that the locals are real nice, but of coarse the locals are going to be nice to 2 pretty white girls, give them free boat tours..........who knows what they really do.
