hot in the desert

Post by tim »

come off it - you really are pathetic - you think riding in the heat of the desert is going to be hard after all the heat of damp enduros in thetford !! pleaseeeee

1 - yeah in fact it was killer hot - off the scale - i burnt out to palm springs at 5.30 in the morning to miss the heat and it was still 110 degrees - absolute killer

2 - some interesting observations
a - you americans work really hard - motorways were busy at 5 and 6 in the morning
b - you phut along - everyone was driving at 80mph

3 - been to pismo before would have been great but could only find knackerd quads to rent

4 - went to dave turner http://www.getdirtydirtbikes.com/ and really cannot recommend him enough

5 - bikes have changed - i felt like a caveman - went on a beta - i thought it would be 450cc of fat old knacker four stoke - instead was light - easy to ride and really potent - without pulling your arms off - also didn't overheat and clutch stayed ok after lots and lots of abuse - the only issue is it sounded like a ships engine all weird whirring and ticking - very disconcerting

6 - next time i'll get the bikes then burn up ro pismo

thnaks for the help and advice and note the plug for get dirty - a good outfit
