removing aluminum
removing aluminum
I am in the process of removing my cradle. Was wondering what is best for removing aluminum? I have been using my dremel and its taking a lot of dremel bits I tried my air cut off tool but didn't seam very effectivem so any suggestuions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Mocr13

hacksaw will work good for the tubes. if your cutting the weld you can use one of these. http://www.dremel.com/en-us/Accessories ... px?pid=115 ace should have one for a couple bucks. need dust mask so not to breath the chips . this is least expensive method

I guess i should have been more specific,Im trying to get the last pieces of cradle out of the inside of the frame and the y. dremel works but like i said taking alot of bits and cant get cut off wheel inside of the pieces left in the frame and y.so any help would be greatly appreciated.I will see if our local hardware stores have that dremel bit,but hard to get stuff around my town!

Alcohol works great for a lube during cutting and doesn't leave residue that will affect welding.

Denatured or iso it doesn't matter as it evaporates in seconds. In the aerospace field it's used almost 100% of the time when sawing aluminum and even some skimming operations.
