I no longer have a 500 :-(

Remember this kid?

He stole it today. 14 years later almost to the day.

Since the YZ is down, I took the KDX and the CR for today's ride. He decided he'd like to give it a try.

Long story short, 20 miles of trail later, I can't wipe the grin off his face.

I remember my first Big bore 2 stroke ride. I was in 8th grade, always was a big kid, I rode an 81 cr250 at the time. I went to Holister Hills with some older guys who ran the local motorcycle shop. One of them had a YZ465 and he let me ride it...that was it I started saving. I bought an '86 cr 500 in 1987, took me a few years to save the money...the world was never the same for me after that day.

Good stuff but be careful...an addiction to that kind of power will rear its ugly head many places in life.

Wow!
Let me count the cool stuff in this post.
1 You were fortunate to have a young family AND your bike at the same time.

2 You had a kid not afraid of the bike.

3 You had a video camera to record it.

4 You had a wife smart enough to use the camera.

5 You had a wife who trusted you to ride your son around on it.

6 Now the kid is grown and riding the big bike.

I dare say most of us could only muster 1-2 of those.
Congrats man.

I want to know who the 8 homos are who pushed the dislike button. Probably Qwad riders.

Too late. Check the vid.
Luckily, for now, he likes to follow. I only followed him this time for the video opportunity.

Ha ha ha!
I raced my 480 at Diamond Dons ahrma national last weekend and my buddy complained about the roost.
It's great to serve it!
No thinking about it and no effort required.
New Dunlop 756.
Good thing for him the track was like potting soil.
Here's a pic of the sugarbowl turn with Rhett Smith roosting my buddy Karl.
These are only 250's.
Something for you to look forward too! he he he
