Vegas To Reno on a 500?

Post by AngryShawn »

A couple buddies and I ran this race last year on my xr650r and had a hell of a good time, we even finished despite some serious obstacles.
For the hell of it, we were pondering doing it this year on my AF instead of the xr. I'm in favor of the xr since its designed for this type of long haul abuse and wanted to see what kind of opinions/experience folks here had on the subject of the xr v 500 for this race.
Thanks!

A Local fast Kid and partner rode it a few years ago on an AF and finished pretty well, but if it was me I'd be sitting on that XR650.

Yeah, the vibration difference between these bikes is definitely a concern.

Have you run this race before? If you haven't I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have. Last year was our first time and we had a blast!
