my springs are sprung

Post by 100hp honda »

fricken front springs seem to be shot in my '98. someone told me i could get some pvc pipe and put that in there to make up the difference. what special tools do i need and how hard is it to put a pvc spacer in there?

without taking them off and measuring the spring i dont know %100. but i have a hunch. when the bike is on the stand and tire is off the ground the forks extend all the way out. when you take it off the stand just the weight of the bike makes the forks go down a few inches and they seem pretty low when riding also. my other bikes forks only slightly go down when taken off the stand. a spacer is only a quick fix i know but at this moment i dont have extra cash for new springs. maybe in a few weeks i will. the pvc spacer idea will work right?
