so I went and tried on some helmets at cyclegear yesterday. The only one that fit well was the fox v3. It fit so well that if it wasn't $375 I would have bought it right then. anyway, I came home and went online and found the exact same helmet at an online outlet store for $187 shipped since its an '09 model.
I'm tempted to just order it, but I was also planning on going to the larger cycle gear up north since they have more selection and try on some others. If I find anything that fits well that is either answer, msr or anything tuckerrocky carries, then MFDB can hook up a good deal.
anyone have a fox v3 helmet?

so, went to the other cycle gear, still no answer or msr, but I tried the arai...which is f-ing awesome, I almost blew my load! but then I tried the fox v3 on again and it feels like its folding my ears a little... I really don't want to drop $600 on an arai, but it starting to look that way!

V3
I like my V3 a lot. Fits my cabbage well and has good air flow. Was snug in a few spots but it broke in perfect after a few rides. I have 3 different ones for the dirt and the other one on my top list is a Troy Lee. I think it's a D2 or something.
Never noticed it grabbing more air than the other dirt helmets on the motard though.

If if doesn't kill you, it hurts like hell.

Yeah mate, have to agree! Carbon kevlnar is the go.
"high speed it grabs heaps of air and tries to pull ur head of ur neck ! "
Maybe cos its so light? but just tilt your head down a bit.
Very nice to wear and very light. At the end of the day you neck is not sore like with heavy fiberglass helmets.
I have seen one crack from a light knock but i'v had plenty hard hits with no damage.
