Big bore kit for CR500
Big bore kit for CR500
I was checkin out Eric Gorrs website and saw that he offers a big bore kit for the CR500, making it 520cc. Anyone know anything about these 520 kits? I'm just curious to see what size the bore is on the 520 kit.

I have a custom wiseco intended for a seadoo that will make it 525, i have a cylinder ported for it too, 4mm needed to be cut off the base to make it work, OR it could have had stroke added

I've been meaning to ask if anyone had / knew of anyone using these kits from RPM. This post reminded me.
They use CPI cylinders for over 560cc.
Big bore And stroker kits. This direct link is for a 540cc - 91mm bore and 83mm stroker kit. The price for the parts listed is very reasonable (seems incredibly cheap, actually), as is the labour. The more I look at it, and consider how much others are charging, it looks like a bargain
Here's a link, see to the left for other sizes:

I dont think the tire will be an issue at all, if a bike is set up properly traction is not an issue no matter how much power you have. I've seen bikes with Well over 150hp on a knobby hook like crazy.dubious01 wrote:
Gonna see what develops, the problem will likely be the tire...
what tire is gonna hold that much power, maybe? an MF44? haha
