Porter Cable US58 Upholstery Stapler

I bought one of these recently and really can't believe I waited this long and put up with those friggin' Arrow staplers for all those years. "Heavy Duty" my ass! :moon:

You go to drive a staple and one side goes in, the staple twist a bit and you try to hammer it in or use a screwdriver to get it to go. What a PITA! :bash:

Well, no more. This thing drives them in perfectly everytime. :woot:

At 3/8" crown, the staples are a little narrower than stock (OEM is roughly 1/2") so I use two staples, one above the other, at each staple point. No big deal, 10,000 staples for around $6. I use the 1/4" leg length.

I bought mine at toolbarn.com but they can be found for cheaper at Amazon.com.

Great tool! :applaud:

****CAUTION***** There is no safety on this gun. Pull the trigger and a staple comes out. So, remember what Mom said, "It's all fun and games until somebody gets hurt". :nono:

Yeah, that hard plastic seat pan can be a bear with manual staplers.

I did my former 450's seat cover in just a few minutes with the Porter Cable. I have to change my 250's cover so this thing is really going to work out well.
