2007 CRF450 Build
Thanks to Bob for the site & all the Hoons for the info I obtained for this build. Having trouble finding the thread for buying "Banned" covers.

Chain might be a little snug, I could get two fingers between the chain & the rear of the slider. I will check again when the bike is on the ground.
I did most of my reading after I started the build...big mistake. IE: I did not know Pro circuit offered an "AF" pipe. I chose this pipe not for performance but in an attempt to make the bike somewhat of a sleeper. The shiny FMF anaconda annouces to the world big bore.
I was amazed how time consuming working out fittment and brackets.
The 2007 head stay has pros and cons. The good part of using the factory mounting holes was no problems with tank clearence. It is a great place to mount the CDI (a little concerned about heat). Only had to lengthen the kill switch wires. The bad: after reading the threads, it seems to me the factory style offset brackets with a post opposite the shock tower is a proven design.
Stock radiators leaked after nipples were relocated. I think it is because they are assembled with epoxy and got too warrm. I had two sets modded anticipating smashing one when I enter a hill climb.
Waitng for graphics to be printed. Then off to ride out any bugs.

Epoxy???? Wow, thought it was a solid build until I read that..... WELD, hot metal and electricity is the only way to make a solid AF.... How about some head stay pics? Did you go with the curved or straight across type?

i think he meant honda assembles the rads with epoxy to seal them, and after welding them they leak nowEpoxy???? Wow, thought it was a solid build until I read that.....
from what he said he didnt epoxy the radiator instead of welding it
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.
