bleeding brakes

After repacing my front brake hose, I bleed like I always bleed on autos. Pump up the brake, holding pressure open the bleed, let lever bottom, tighten bleed and repeat like a million times. no more air bubbles. I am using a clear hose attached to bleed nipple. Still is a bit musshy, must have air trapped somewhere. Any ideas?

I pull the cover off of the resevior and then crack the bleeder. Just keep pouring new fluid in the res. it will flush every thing out pretty fast if your bleeder is open a lot. Just make sure the res. Stays full! Close bleeder and then replace cap. This not only bleeds the system but repaces all the old fluid that may have absorbed moisture, which can cause a spongy feel.

in your case, pull the cover and FLICK the end of the lever to bump bubbles off the piston/diaphram inside the master (careful it might spray ya if ya FLICK it to hard), pump it up and crack the banjo at the master, tie the lever over night, tap the lines with a screwdriver to break up a bubble that may be stuck...

You can unbolt the caliper and place it on something higher than the master so any air bubbles arent fighting gravity. position the bleeder straight up.

Shove a wrench between the pads to similate the rotor.

Bleed normaly and reinstall...

Done.
