once my bike is rego'd were going to sit down and go through the pile of receipts we have and work out how much each bike cost us.
at a guess it would be over $40,000 between the 2 of them

frame rails

what tubing did you use for this build and did you need to heat it to bend it or anneal it ? I have seen all the builds replacing the cradels but no mention of this subject. The shop to do my bending cracked the tubing, they are telling me it needs to be annealed first then after all the bending and welding heat treated. i have 6061-t6 tubing.

40K..... Image I felt a wee bit strange knowing I spent $8,000.00 on my build! Guess I feel good.... weather permitting I spend 4 or 5 days a week riding my beast May thru Nov!

well right now we have 4 sets of rail sitting on our bench with the 4.5" radius bend and both of our bikes are the same
not one of them has cracked
and we are running 6061 t651 alloy

but we used a mandrel bender

we did a test bend on our first rail and we tried to get it to fail
to do this we used a press bender with a 4"radius
it didn't fail
OK THAT'S 2 DONE ....

thanks for the info shaggy aus,
i found a offroad truck racer who has a the right kind of roll bender,
he used a 4 1/2" radius die on my tubing, turned out very nice.

Shaggy.

Awesome work mate. They are almost too pretty to get dirty.

If I had the cash and inclination to buy one of these babies, is it able to be registered in any state? IE is it fully ADR approved.

I would hate to buy something that you have somehow got registered in NSW, but when it comes time to change the plate over for a QLD one, I am not able to register in another state. Not looking for a road bike, but obviously a registerable CR can be used in a lot of places that a non regoed one can't.

Can you shed any light on that for me please?
