FMF Fatty group buy

Post by lmhans »

I just got word from Michael @FMF that a group buy for Fatty pipes is possible, depending on the number we order. It is not a for sure deal yet, as he wanted me to post here to see what kind of numbers we would come up with. The number he threw out there was 30. So let me know who all would be interested in a FMF Fatty pipe.

id buy 2, AFTER roosty looks at one and verifys its not a gnarly with fatty stamped on it

if its the same price as a gnarly id buy 2 anyways cause i go thru them so fast
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.

I'd be keen too, either on this, or the Fatty clone mentioned in another earlier thread post (half pissed at the moment, can't be arsed to find it and link it !)

Are we talking about the high pipe or newer style? Could be interested in the old one, if the price is reasonable and this is legit..... :?

What does the fatty do for the 500 compared to the other pipes? I might want one.

FMF only makes the Gnarly for the CR500. Its a low end tractor type pipe.

The Fatty was more like the OEM pipe. Ran good everywhere. Whats FMF do? Stop making it.....

Screw FMF, if you want a good running aftermarket pipe, order one from Bill's.

Is Bill's still in business? Are their pipes prices in line with FMF/PC? Their website has been "under construction" or "coming soon" forever. I ran Bill's pipes on my CR125s all through the '90s, partly because Steve Lamson and Doug Henry used them, but they were bad ass.

I wasn't calling you out. That was directed toward the "shady" character trying to take our money. :? I was just unclear with my post, I suppose.

Here we go again huh, everyone all pissed off before anything has happened.
My uncle knows the FMF guys, Monday I'll check into things. I suggest we all either say ya we want one if it's legit or stfu so there isn't 20 pages of bullshit to weed thru and find the guys that are in.

Do they still make the FMF STFU pipe? Let's group buy on that one. I heard it's a lot quieter than the others.

I just got off the Phone with Jeff Northrop of FMF, he says it can happen.
I'm sending pictures of my most recent product run FATTYs to show the later mount supports, what we'd like for the rear mount and other parts of the customization we're asking about.

Hang on boys, its going to happen

im thinking they'll all be made like AF, just a little taller than the steelie mount, It'll need a different hanger instead of chopping the pipe
