Has anyone upgraded an '85 with rear disc brake?

Post by plynn41 »

My basket case '85 has a trashed rear hub. Has anyone here converted their drum brake bike to a disc setup? Can this be done with minimal fabrication on the original swingarm, or does the project require a later model swingarm?

Thanks!

I'm also very interested to do this, but would be doing a complete rear end swap- does anybody know if the 87/88 swingarms bolt on to an 85 bike frame with no mods beside a tab for the rear master cylinder?

Thanks!

Cameron.
