Dual Euro Scrambles

Post by south central hoon »

just got back from a two day race near ridgecrest. I had a great time, and the bike ran really well.

after winning my class last race i got bumped into the next class up. some really fast guys.

ANYONE w/ a PJ thinking of getting a PWK.....DO IT. My bike runs so much better!

day one i got a horrible start. these are dead engine races and i had a three kick start. rode well and battled my way through the pack for 5th in class.

yesterday got a great start and was 3rd OA when i wadded it up just before the first checkpoint. a lil dazed but not hurt.

got going again, but lost a lot of ground.

I was playing catch up in the dust and lost the course. :oops:

finally got back on course and hammered it to finish 9th in class.

great weekend.

with a properly tuned bike its actually not bad. I just get so trigger happy i bump past the compression stroke waiting for the banner to drop.

Yeah my bike starts fairly easy. I would just make sure the piston was where it needs to be and it should be one kick. But nerves can screw that up.

X2
as long as mine is just past TDC its easier to start than a 250f
my last race was dead engine start, but with everyones tire against a 6" log... and it was raining, prolly was 5th into the corner
the 450 will have less power and will be harder to start, and will be heavier, but to make up for it it will require more maintenance.
4stroke=dead fish
