Yep got the memo

Wasnt trying to impress anyone, just typing out a small rant after reading older post of undeserving people getting heckled for dumb stuff. Not going to edit it because i said it, but you can consider that statement retracted. :)

Like I said, posted without really looking at what I said or thinking. The same thing I was talking shit for. I retracted it, I will edit it if you want. just figured it was the pussy thing to do without acknowledging it first. Your call.

Its no biggie.... I just want to make clear the difference of getting bounced because of a real opinion you may have... vs. getting bounced just because you want to.

I have about 20 or better groups I am a member of for one reason or another and they are ALL a bunch of candy asses compared to this group.

Man Mojo don't even joke around....it can happen quick on those things. I putt around on the street, I don't ride the fast bikes anymore because I am not socially responsible enough to ride one. Rubber down ride safe.

I appreciate the thought Rhino. I'm not worried about me, or the bike, just the other idiots. This thing will probably never see the other side of 80 mph.

Honestly, I would have been fine with half the power. This was really the only bike I rode that just felt right and was capable of 2 up riding. Everything else just felt heavy and clumsy in comparison.

I tried a few cruisers, all of which felt like tanks.
I tried a couple adventures, they just felt all out wrong.
Even thought about Supermoto, but the 2 up riding on a SM is a non starter.
The sport bikes would require I ride with a chiropractor and the Mrs refused to even sit on one.
The touring bikes... where to start...

I think this was actually the safest choice I could have made. Scary.

Anyway, I have plenty of restraint and a healthy sense of self preservation.

I rode a buddies CBR600, .................once.
60 mph in first gear, in half a blink of the eye.
I knew it would be all over for me if I had one of those.

Certainly sounds badass.

Everyone seems to like the V motors and the thump thump thump. Including me.

When it comes to riding them though, I don't like em. I like the inline sewing machine motors that scream. I want the power when I ASK for it, not all the time. Kinda why I ride 2 strokes.

My test ride, 80, in first, in what felt like 100 yards.

Ok, maybe it was second.

I worry about the other people too, but I'm an idiot so I mello myself out by not buying really fast stuff for the street. Just looking out and glad to hear.

I have ridden buddies GSXR1000, ZX11 and recently the R1. they are all too fast for me and I love them. I remember getting on the freeway with the GSXR, grabbing a wristfull of first and then barely into second and I looked down I was doing just shy of 140mph..IN SECOND not even tapped. I clicked through some gears and backed out, now it feels like I could get off and run surely I must be close to the speed limit of 65, nope I'm still doing 90. Those bikes settle in the faster you go, feels great but I just have a very heavy throttle hand and I know something that goes like that means trouble for me.

Good looking bike, seems like you know yourself well and picked out a bike that fits you and you are happy with so I am happy for you. Rubber side down, half an eye always checking the rear, scanning the roadway constantly for idiots and always having an escape route. Congrats man, good looking scoot!
