Lenwood-slashx-hodge rd run today

Post by britincali »

Had a really fun ride today, went out with my buddies 16 yr old on his yz450.

We went from lenwood out over the mountains to slash-x then over to hodge and back to lenwood it was a really good mix of jumps, fast washes gnarley rocky ass hillclimbs a little ST and some big whoop sections.

He left from the house and showed me some bitchin tables just out in the middle of nowhere one of them I hit while tagging him and went further and higher than Ive ever gone before, my arse puckered hardcore when I sailed past the downside and came in for a completely flat land, the bike just soaked it up like nothing tho!!! Definatly confidence inspiring, it just seem to come off lips better and land nicer that the Gen 1.

I really do love the fuk out of this thing, im getting more and more comfortable on it and it just flat amazes me what it will soak up yet how gentle it is in the choppy shit.

The 2.7 gal made a huge difference, I really couldnt feel a difference in size while riding and it takes away that constant worrying about "am I gonna run out????"

Again the only thing im having a hard time with is the front brake, its just so fukin touchy with that big ass rotor, a couple of times today I locked the front and almost ate it

All in all a bitchin day

I took some pics by a memorial we found in the hills behind slash-x..

 Brit. Is that like a Husky #2? (Yamaha in this case). I hardly ever ride out that way anymore - hate the stupid sharp rocks from Hodge road area - got a flat every time. Shoulda got some pics of the table you're referring to...
The CR500 is an acquired taste. If you don't like it, acquire some taste...

Wow. I'm surprised you got that thing up and running so quick. Cool.
