Belfair trip /Rob's back in the saddle

Post by Rosco-Peeko »

What!? Hold it. Rob sighting on a dirt bike? There's magical unicorns too. Well not really.

Its been a long time coming. I have been off the bike for a very long time. Its was time. Plus my compadre Jason (co-worker) picked up an 04 CR250. So I dusted off the 89'er and called up the Shark for a ride.....dood is always riding.

We loaded up the bikes last night...weather report....shit and rain. Piss on it...we are going. Wait on the weather here....you'll be waiting till May.

We hooked up with the Shark AKA Dustin in the town of Belfair. Then proceeded from there to the park. Its was a nice little area with the usual squids tearing up the parking area and not venturing much further past.

Quote of the day.
Me: Bike is running a bit on the goofy side.
Dustin/Shark: Who cares, the water in the puddles will be up to your dick...doesn't really matter. Quickly followed with a graffaw.

Since this was Jason's first outing on trails, Dustin took us on a 20 mile loop, littered with water, water, water, rocks, slick shitty mud, whoops snotty roots some nice banked corners. Kinda reminded me of Gorman but A LOT nastier.

Jason did very good for his first outing. Had a few get off's in the tight off-camber corners. He did well tho. I had a blast! It felt good to be back on the bike...a bit on the rusty side. The sun was out for a while, made a very nice ride! Thanks Dustin!!!!!

Picture time!
Usual Washington weather..thank god for Gore-Tex!

The Shark.....two in the pink and one in the stink / the shocker:

Jason's detour. This could have ended ugly. If it was not for his chest protector, he would have been kebab'ed by a sharp branch. Gear up fella's.

Nice fun trail to fart around on:

The shark scared this eagle off the trail. Big damn bird, bet it craps VW's:

Where's Shark's regular crew? They crap out on him again?

Good to see you on a bike again Rosco.
