My CR 500 2000 finished from 100% factory restoration.

Finally my last 500 is finished from restoration! I have only used Honda factory parts all over the bike and i,m waiting for some small washers and bolts to replace the old ones with. Except that it's finished. It was a very good bike with only one pistonchange on it since new. Johnny https://banned...

Well, that could be the case. Try a 40 or 42 pilot and see. Maybe you should use a needle with less taper too. CGN for example. Then you lean it out a bit at 1/4 to 3/4 throttle.

Ok. How does the bike feel at light throttle? Do you have a cracking and bluddering sound or is it just a smooth hesitation? What slide is there in the carb?

Hello Josh. What temp do you have where you live? The needle and the mainjet doesn't seem to match up really. On the other hand a rich main does not mean that you have spooge. how do you run your bike? At which throttle pos. are you mostly running? How is the bike behaving? Does it bludder a lot at ...

Just for your information. The needle you are using is 3 numbers too short compared to one with the standard length, but i guess you know that now. The needle length of the DDJ at 1st clip is the same position as if you had a standard neele in 4th clip. Your needle is 3 numbers too short and about 3...

I see that you are using a very short needle. It's also quite rich at the base diameter with it's J size number. I would prefer to use a DGL or DGM needle at your elevation and temp and try it in 3rd clip position (middle) together with a 48-50 pilot jet, just like said earlier.

Have you dyno'ed? What numbers did you get?

Hello guys. I know that different dynoes gives different numbers, but it would be fun just to know what numbers you guys have achieved from your dynoruns. Also what's done to your engines and what type of dyno you used, temp, tyres etc.
This is just for fun!

factory frame paint.

Hello! I just bought myself a 2000 500 with very few hours on it. One pistonchange since new:=). The only thing that doesn't look almost new is the rubbing on the frame. So, where do i get the colour code or factory frame paint for it? Is it available, or does anyone have the colourcode? Regards Joh...

How to fix a sloppy kickstarter? Anyone done it?

Hello guys! Has anyone fixed their sloppy kicker? I was thinking of if there is someway of doing it. Maybe bore it out and put a new bronze bushing in or something like that. Mine starts to rattle on the pipe in a near future..

Hi! I also have a -99 with ported cylinder and some other stuff. I use my bike for iceracing too. I have a Coolhead 66cc, Dynoport MT big volume pipe, power reeds and a PWK 41,5mm. I can't say that i have lost much bottom end power because of the carb. It works perfect. Good idling and easy to jet. ...

Hello! The Dynoport pipe is not as high revving as the CPI. I have 187 exh and 125 transfers and my bike gives maximum power at 5800 rpm with the Dynoport MT Big volume pipe, but 59 footpounds of torque. Very nice build though, and a good powercurve.
