The original CR450 - I see it has the freeflow exhaust mod.

What I find interesting is that in 81, Honda already figured out proper rear suspension angle. Whereas Yamaha had it all wrong.

Hey Mik - So how does this motor run? I am debating on the same thing.

I came home and found that my kid did the same conversion. He managed to shoe-horn it in the stock mounts. Kicker hits the frame on full kick And he spaced out the right rad temporarily. Did your 01 exhaust bolt right up?

Wow - that thing was dirty! Conversion process is essentially the same as a Gen3. Been riding my Gen2 conversion since 2008 - still holding up well.

My 94' snapped the case at the kicker shaft boss on the r-s inner case. I dont have a spare case and i havent been able to locate any at a reasonable price yet. Its mint weather and i typically use this bike daily on the road. I have a fresh 85 motor and elecs sitting in my closet. Is it worth frig...
