Can't help you there, I have no idea.
Maybe I'll go that way if it works.
I was going to get case bushings machined with the extra width on each side so I didn't have to deal with the spacers.

Use all the stock gen 1 parts, plus 2 spacers, 4 and 6mm I think they are.

Pop out the bushings, drill the cases out, and pop in the bigger bushings.

Runs like a new set of tits!
Seems much more smooth at low rpm than my previous 4 500's (they were all 85, 86 short rod motors)
Bottom and mid range is great.
Don't have much else to say about it, I haven't even got 2 tanks of fuel through it yet.

I think I have a set of motor mounts for a gen 1, and a couple coil adapters. I might have a set of case bushings, too.

I'll bet you will have to bend new lower rails for the frame, but I'm pretty sure it's steel, isn't it?

I say go for it.

The only hydro clutch I've used is on my KTM 530, and it's great.
To each their own. I've got no gripe with a fresh, smooth cable set up.

I've got a used hydraulic set up I'd consider selling.
No idea if it works, bought it used from another member.

I use a long Adjustable folding lever, and move the perch over so I'm grabbing right at the end of the lever with two or three fingers.

I wouldn't bother getting scallops. Just get Roosty to make you a decompression head. Check your kicker gear too. Mine wouldn't engage until it was part way down, which made me lose about 15% of the kicker stroke. Roosty put some new guts in my kicker, and I have no problem starting it without the d...

It is a terrible addiction, but it can be beat. My own younger brother was hooked on meth for a few years. He lost everything he had, and luckily my mom let him move back home and got him back on his feet.
It can be beat! People can change if they want to badly enough.
