Seller has said he will give me a piston kit free of charge, which is a resonable outcome i think, as long as the bore isn't to flogged out.
Still trying to decide on a piston though, is wiseco the only forged piston?

Thanks for the reply, i bought a engine recently and it didn't come with one so i rang my local honda dealer to get a price. Almost had a heart attack when he said $130 thats without the gasket or anyother parts, i thought if i'm going to spend that much i might try to chase up a better aftermarket ...

Hi all, stumbled across this site a few months ago doing research for af conversion, been reading up since then and its good to see the quality of work and friendship on this site. I'm from Queensland, Australia, recently imported a 2001 cr500 engine in from the US because the local prices are crazy...

Another Aussie starting af build. Just wondering what everyones thoughts were on the stock exhaust manifold?? Aftermarket?? Is it worth buying a 2nd hand one, do they wear out??
